This post is to let you know that I have to change my email address. The
provider that I have been using for nearly 35 years, EKIT, is closing
down in October. I will be using gmail now guessing that Goggle will not
be going out of business.
My new address will be: hytenjr@gmail.com
I
would appreciate it if you would send ‘OK’ email to the new site so I
can know you got this message. I know that I haven’t been in contact
with some of you for years but I never forget a friendly contact. Your
response will awaken old memories.
For all the HIDENs
in my address book …. I’d like to catch up with the changes in your
family’s life. Late in each year I try to update our family tree. I
know from some of your Facebook pages that there have been marriages and
births but few have provided details. Let me know what has happened
inner family the past ten years.

JANUARY, 2019, UPDATES
I have updated pages 2, 4, 5, 5a, 5b, 5c, and 7 based on new information I got last fall from Joyce Dishroon. The information was contained in the collected works of Barbara Long organized in 2014.
There were a few new names and lots of dates. I trust that her work was much more thorough than mine since I depended on published research rather than original documents. There were a couple instances when I thought my dates might have been good so in those instances I included both dates.
My HYDEN research was done when discovered that some branches in my HYTEN family were headed by men named Hyden. First I verified the ancestry that particular Hyden-Hyten. Then I looked to see if the head of other unconnected HYTEN branches might also be Hydens. I ended up with five branches headed by a Hyden. All these are noted on these HYDEN trees. (All Hyten-Hyden branches go back to rural counties in a time when many people couldn't read or write thus depended upon the recorder to spell their name.)
My work here was posted in order to help Hydens find their place in the HYDEN family tree. It becomes the job of each person to further verify names and dates, etc.
Feel free to call me if you have difficulty following through these charts. Also if you can provide further or corrected information as many people have used my information as a starting point. I don't want anyone to have to chase after wrong information.
